Re: [handcycling] Carrying stuff on a ride

Steve,
Yo! If you ride a handcycle you are not a wann-a-be you are a handcyclist! How
is the bike trail, what kind of shape is it in? I left Sac in 91 and moved to
Colorado. I really miss riding the trail.
You may want to buy a cycling jersey. I carry items in the outside rear pockets
such as a cell phone and wallet. Some people put a camel back on the back of
the seat and some camel back models have pockets that have room for items. You
may be want to consider some cargo shorts as they have numerous pockets in which
you may carry items you mentioned.
Hope these ideas help.
Ride on Handcyclist!

Hi everyone,

I am a handcyclist wannabe in Sacramento. I am breaking in a new XLT.
My goal is to use the cycle as independently as possible. I want to be
able to get home from work, hop on the bike and ride. A really nice
bike trail is 2 miles away.

My question is where do you all carry stuff, tools, tubes, water, cell
phone etc. My legs are kinda long and I don't think I can swing around
enough to store stuff behind me.

I was thinking of getting a fisherman's vest so I can have all that
stuff handy in front of me.

Any pearls out there?

Steve
