Ken,
I think you should take it easy and let your body heal itself before you start
biking again. I know it can be frustrating but once all is healed up you can get
back on the bike. You don't want to screw up the other shoulder by over using
it.

Subject: [handcycling] indoor training limits
Hello,
I'm 55 recovering from a 4 vertrebra c4-c7 disk fusion six
weeks ago and rotator cuff surgery on the right shoulder six
days ago. I'm using one arm - the weaker arm - on the cycleops
trainer with an ave mph of 13.1 for one hour. Is there anyway I
can improve that speed or should I take a hint and give up?
Thanks for your help,
hcwildman
