Hi all! This is a USCF/USACycling sanctioned race. There isn't a
posted category for handcycles, nor have they had one in past years.
To my knowledge, the only USCF race in Northern California that has
had a handcycling category has been the Cherry Pie Criterium in
February (Napa). They used to have a HPV (human powered vehicle)
category but discontinued it this year.
Lorri (not a handcyclist but I joined this list because one of my
clients is a handcyclist)

Handcycling federation. There are some rules as to entry in
USACycling for adaptive riders in the race. Minimun number of
Adaptive Rriders and other items. If this is not a bicycle "race" and
you just want to ride, Just do it*! Many people ride as Bandits on
many rides. I have ridden "Ride the Rockies" and as many as 400 a day
ride that are not members of the tour which is limited to 2000 riders.
The same happens on most of the fund raising tours here. Many
bandits go in groups an provide their own sag support.

adaptive rider, I always pay my fees and take full advantage of the
services. I feel much safer and if I have any issues there is always
someone there to help me out, although I have never seen any one
refused medical help.
