In my opinion racing chairs are not comparable to running and handcycles
are not comparable to traditional cycles. The fact is we are only going
to be truly competing against those who are in similar situations as
ourselves. The reason people like me want to participate in running
events with their handcycles are for two reasons. There are more
marathons than cycling events and a traditional marathon is a better
distance for most handcyclists. Handcyclists just can't cover the
distance as traditional cyclist in the allotted time. Please keep in
mind that I am fairly new to the sport of handcycling (only about 2
years as a rider) and this is my inexperienced belief.
Thanks
J
