All,
GVAA Soccer coaches will be meeting soon to discuss the fall season. I am
forwarding this message to the GVAA Soccer list in the hopes that there is a
parent who may not be qualified to coach, but who is interested in getting
involved with the administration of the program. Read on, and contact me at
metcalfej@... if you are interested in volunteering for anything.
Thank you, John
Coaches,
As we prepare for our meeting, I would like you to be thinking about some
administrative issues pertaining to our soccer organization.
1. George Wirick will be finishing a long volunteer career in GVAA Soccer at
the beginning of 2009. Currently, he is working with Cameron Miller to hand off
his registrar duties at the end of the Fall 2008 season. I know that I speak

FSC). I will continue as Commissioner through the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009
seasons. The role of the Commissioner includes the following:
- Liaison between GVAA coaches and the league (FCYSL).
- Attendance at FCYSL meetings. These are held 7 times per year.
- Liaison between GVAA coaches and GVAA Board.
- Generally coordinate the program.
I will be happy to work with anyone through the fall and spring seasons to show
them how I have handled this role. Please let me know if you are interested.
This position does not need to be filled by someone who is also coaching.
Please help me get the word out to parents that you think may be well suited for
this role.
3. Age group coordinators. We need to begin to identify the age group
coordinators for each of the ge
