That's great! Welcome aboard. I too have been there and done that with the
Republican Party and quit and switched to the Democrat Party after I saw what
Bush was doing to the country.

Just a brief self-intro here:

After having masochistically aligned myself with the Republican Party ever
since I first reached voting age, all for the one single issue of 'gun rights',
at the expense of pretty much everything else I believe in and feel just as
strongly about, I've finally had enough (in fact, far more than I can stand!)
and, after a great deal of inner-conflict and soul-searching, formally changed
my party affiliation to DEMOCRAT today and hope that it's the beginning of a
much more realistic and healthy way of looking at the world around me and
finally no longer having to sacrifice my true feelings and deepest-held
convictions all for the sake of playing their game.

Anyway, I hope to post more frequently as time permits, and thank you for
having a group like this on Yahoo!
