The "one gun a month" law only applies to handguns and only if they
are new. You can buy as many as you want if they are used, private
party, consignment, whatever. Though it would invite scrutiny from
the DOJ if you were to buy more than say 5 at a time.
I hear people frequently say "Well when the Assault weapon Ban expires
I'll get to buy...." These people have no idea that California law
supercedes the Federal AWB. Our AWB isn't going away, nor is the one
in Massachusettes or I think NY.
