Re: [guntotingliberals] 10mm

I did check out those sites, very informative , thanks. Tangfolio makes a 10mm
limited which looks very appealing, I've seen one on Gunbroker for about 800
bucks. For the money I might be better off just picking up a Witness and working
on it some. I'll be checking out some gunshops in the area to see if anyone has
one. Teddy Jacobsen is retiring by the way and accepting no new jobs.

the work for me has retired and moved
from the area, so I can't give you a good reference for one. I know that
Actions by T (Teddy Jacobson), Cylinder and Slide and Arizona Tactical do
trigger jobs on Hi-powers, so they probably can do the work, but whether
they will do Witness, or you want to wait that long maybe a factor. Ernest
Langdon had been doing Sigs as well as Berettas, so maybe he might take it
on, but that is only a guess. Teddy Jacobson is well respected in the
trigger work area, and he takes on many different types, and if you send
cash with the gun, he will be faster than if you do it by receipt.

See this site for 'smithing on the Tangfolio:

Witness also has the ability to switch top-ends so if you have a .45ACP you
can put a 10mm slide set on if you want to have either caliber. For parts

David, thanks for the information. I have often thought of getting a
Witness or a CZ. People seem to really like them and for the price I
should pick one up. Was it difficult finding someone to do the
trigger job on the Witness or did you do it yourself? I have handled
the Witness and was impressed with the feel of it, though fit and
finish leaves a little to be desired for the money it seems like a
very good buy. I have never shot one so I can't say much about the
accuracy. I see lots of positive comments on the discontinued SW
10mm. I can't remember the numbers but I know it didnt sell well. I
generally have not been a fan of SW pistols.
Your comment on the 357 sig is interesting too. Everything I read
mentions the muzzle blast and sound. With a bullet traveling those
velocities I suppose we should expect that. I'm only interested in
range work with it so those issues probably won't deter me. For the
cost of a KKM barrel in my Glock 35 its pretty cheap experimenting.
This is a great hobby, always somthing to look forward to

Chemsoldier, so you broke down and got that glock, I have to tell you I've been thinking about a 10mm. I'm not concerned about the recoil, if I can shoot 45acp...
