" The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks "Got it. Fun read, especially the
parts about Zombie attacks through History.Sure, I have a weakness: Zombies
scare the crap out of me...but I love to watch them films anyway. Not vampires,
not werewolves...zombies...and maybe Aliens and Predator types.Anybody catch 28
Days Later/28 Weeks Later?Wikipedia reports that there may be a 28 Months
Later!!!I know, I know, they're "infected" not zombies, but just as scary if not
more.Resident Evil series ain't too bad either, as well as the remake of Dawn of
Dead (2004)Another cool flick with weird beings is The Descent.Perhaps deep down
what scares me the most is the apocolyptic theme, post-Katrina-esque, TSHTF
scenario stuff. That's why I also love flicks like The Omega Man.Funny though, I
can't seem to bring myself to watch King's moralist, good vs. evil The Stand. But
I can take it easy as well, otherwise I couldn't have enjoyed Shaun of the Dead
:)XelaP.S. Which reminds me, wife and I need
to get some Sellier & Bellot ammo for our SKSs...--- In

[guntotingliberals] Zombie Squad
I was digging through my email and I found this:http://zombiehunters.org/I love
the idea of combining humor and preparedness.BTW: The Zombie Survival Guide by
Max Brooks is a must read. I do haveone bone of contention with it though. Mr.
Brooks says the AR-15 isunreliable and therefore not a good zombie rifle. I
couldn't disagreemore. Yes, there were some reliability problems with the M-16
at thestart of the Vietnam war, but the cause of those problems wasidentified
and fixed. The rifle is light, reliable and accurate (amust when fighting
zombies) and the ammunition is light, flatshooting, low recoil, and has enough
power for zombie debrainificationout to several hundred yards. It was cheap and
readily available upuntil a couple of years ago, but that is another story.
