I did get just enough critical mass to plan for Thursday morning pickup -- 6:30
a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (Looks like Thursday would catch the biggest turnout.)

Here's the deal -- I'm dealing with a serious back injury but will still be
happy to organize the morning Ulty.

If you want to play, here's what it requires:

1. Contact me by 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon to say yes.
2. If I get 8 people who commit, you'll get an e-mail saying GAME ON.
3. You will have to give me your cell number and indicate whether you prefer a
TEXT or CALL before 6 a.m.
4. You have to agree to be part of a phone tree to spread the word if I step
outside my door at 5:45 a.m. and see rain. In that case, I'd call/text two
people who'd call/text two who'd filter to the final folks.
5. When the game is on, YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP ON TIME. IF THERE'S MORE THAN ONE
BLOWN THURSDAY, THE WHOLE THING IS OFF.
6. Bring a light and a dark shirt. I have the cones and will mark a field.

This is the only way it can work. I'd be happy to organize this (and even play
as soon as I'm able), but those are the rules. The Ethyl field, by the way, is
at the corner of Byrd and Second streets. It overlooks the river, Tredegar, the
Fed. You would park facing north on Second street, down the hill from the War
Memorial. If we get kicked off this field, I have two to three other options.
