Good points all of you... I see both Zips and the league's points of
view... the decision is not easy. But...
One thing that no one has mentioned yet is OLD CHICAGOS. Both weeks,
B11 has had doubleheaders, and OCs made the windy doubleheader
situation easier to deal with. It gave us a chance to get out of the
wind and "bond" as at team (and get cheap food and beer).
Week 1 - after cancelling the first game, we went to OCs. At noon, we
went back to the fields and played a pick-up game in the wind for over
an hour (the wind died down a little) and then went back to OCs.
Week 2 - we had 13 players show up despite the wind and played against
Zip's team for over an hour, and then went to OCs.
So my suggestion for questionable weather doubleheaders:
Show up, cancel game if necessary and go to OCs, then check on second
game.
Zip, your request is valid and you made good points regarding the changing weather. In my opinion, this issue comes down to who should take the responsibility...

I totally agree with Joanne, even though our B team scrimmaged in the wind both weeks. Although we had a reasonably good time scrimmaging, I must admit that if...

That's a load of crap, Hoerske. At 10am, very few A leaguers were remotely interested in playing in those conditions. I'm a windy day player. I'm a snowy and...

Thanks Zip for bringing this up; as a captain I think I'm right where you are- probably prefer captains to make the call, but I'm fine with GRU making the call...

I think that cancelling all of the games was due to some who had double headers, and did not want to wait or drive back to Boulder, and back. Many options were...
On behalf of a team that did have a double header, this decision was helpful, rather than the team waiting for another hour to connect with the next team, just...
