Hi all,

With the seminar drawing closer it’s time to call on
volunteers to help out with the keeping the dojo clean
during this time. There are two main areas to be
looked after. One is the dojo itself, and the other
is the toilets and changing rooms.

The first group of volunteers (two or three people)
are for the Thursday before the start of the seminar.
They will probably need to vacuum the floor, set up
the mats and take out the chairs and tables etc. This
set up will need to be complete before the seminar
start time and therefore will be restricted to people
who can make it to the dojo early! If you think
you’ll get stuck in traffic etc, please do not
volunteer.

The second group of volunteers (two people) is for
keeping the dojo clean during the seminar, you’ll be
responsible for vacuuming the mat at least once during
the day, emptying rubbish bins into the big skip and
sweeping the covered area outside the dojo.

The third group of volunteers (three people) is for
the toilet and changing room areas. Basically floors
need to be swept, shower floors cleaned, toilets and
hand basins cleaned and toilet floors washed. Ben and
I will oversee and be part of this team but obviously
it needs to be done speedily and therefore we need
others (at least two girls and two boys). This work
will need to be done two or three times throughout the
seminar (depending on facility usage), I see Friday
night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon the
main times for this job.

I use the term volunteers quite loosely as obviously
these jobs need to be done and therefore if nobody
comes forward I will allocate…… :)
