Sadly we have suffered the loss of a significant amount of equipment at the Nathan dojo recently and have arranged for more secure storage of our equipment. I'd like to ask that you all be vigilant at all dojos about the storage of equipment after class as all of these spaces are shared with other groups.
Unfortunately this has added some strain to our limited finances, and so it's a timely reminder that without members training fees we cannot continue to operate at low cost. Our club currently offers some of the most inexpensive mat fees for aikido training that you will find anywhere. This is mainly because we are a non-profit organization of the university. As a club run by members for members, serial non-payers insult not only the instructors who work very hard to provide a high standard of instruction in a voluntary capacity, but also to all club members who must carry the financial load. Of course please speak with your instructor/executive committee member in cases of exceptional financial hardship.
Our instructors and members of the executive committee work very hard to keep your aikido club running and provide the most up to date teaching they can. Your support both financially and learning together through regular practice is appreciated.
Finally congratulations to our beginners course students on excellent grading this morning at the Nathan dojo, I hope that many of you will continue to advance in your training.
Best wishes,
dan
