For some time now the club executive have been struggling to meet its
obligations to the club as we continues to grow and expand. The club
executive is therefore seeking to employ an administrative assistant
to help with routine aspects of club administration. A member of the
club or immediate family may make an ideal candidate for this
position. Although financial remuneration will be available for the
position this is not likely to be a well paid position...at least
initially and dependent on generating real outcomes for the club if
it is to continue.

Duties include
-Publicity preparation and delivery
-New member recruitment and followup
-Banking
-Stock Control
- Invoicing and purchasing
- Attend monthly executive meeting
- Report to club president

Desirable Skills

- demonstrate a medium to long term commitment to a part time role
- an intrest in aikido

Initially it is envisaged that the appointment will be one day per
week and be based at the Nathan campus for a three month trial period
Dependent on the success and financial viability of the role it may
be continued and/or expanded to more days per week.
A variety of renumeration options are available including training
subsidy, office expenses (if based at home) and award office rates
either as a private contractor or possibly PAYERE through the
university.
