Hi Everyone,
Next week will be our first week at our permanent location at Nathan
Campus. So this is very exciting news for us.

Class times will be
Tuesday 6:30p-8:30p
Thursday 6:30p-8:30p
In addition the children's classes will start there from Tuesday with
the Universities School Aged Care unit very keen to support us as well.

The location is at the end of Recreation Rd. near the Kessels Rd.
entrance to the University (Building N36). Parking is plentiful and
free. All club instructors are requested to attend on Thursday nights
in addition to their usual teaching commitments to continue to
develop a healthy interaction of seniors.

On Tuesday night it would be handy if a few of you could arrive at
6pm as we still have a few mats to move from the basketball courts
and bits of other things to be done.

As Nathan will become the central focus of our clubs activities,
where convenient I would like to encourage everyone to pay their
monthly mat fees at nathan, this helps keep club administration
simple. Please present your receipt at other grififth dojos you
practice at to help track who has paid.

Additionally I am asking all students to nominate a 'home' dojo where
the master record of their classes will be kept for grading purposes.
It will be your job as a student to let your sensei know about
classes you have attended at other dojos (there will be a seperate
TALLY column in the green book where this can be entered every time
you turn up for class)

Upcoming events

Thursday March 3rd 6:30p-
Please make a special effort for Thursday March 3rd as the club will
celebrate its 25th Anniversary and have Michael Williams sensei as a
guest instructor (he founded the club in 1981). This will be his
final class in Brisbane before he relocates to Fiji. Please bring an
additional $5 (on top of your usual mat fees) or $15 casual fee (inc.
instructors) to cover costs for the evening including birthday cake,
nibblies and drinks. (i need someone to arrange the catering for the
evening please let me know if you can do this)

Saturday, Sunday March 4th, 5th Friendship seminar
please join Dows sensei as we visiti the Sunshine coast dojo for a
seminar with David Dangerfield sensei. There is no charge for this
seminar. Please bring nibblies and drinks for both dojos along for
the celebration afterwards

Thursday March 23rd
Andrew Sunter Sensei, 4th dan head instructor of a number of Sydney
dojos will be visiting Nathan dojo to lead the training session. We
will also organise a special Friday morning training with him as well.

Saturday, Sunday March 25th,26th
Ben, Aran, Rod and Simon all have dan gradings at Byron Bay on the
Sunday, please support them as they progress through the senior ranks
of aikido. On the Saturday will be some special training at Byron Bay
and a celebration for Michael Williams as he leaves for Fiji. This
event will be attended by many seniors from all around Australia. We
have also been asked to provide a lift back to Brisbane for a number
of senior instructors from other states. (please contact me if you
are able to assist)
