Dear members,
As I head OS for around four weeks I like to let you all know the
arrangements for Southbank dojo and the club in my absence.
Rod Sensei will act as dojo chief instructor, and Jutta Sensei as club VP
will handle/delegate club administrative duties as usual. From time to time
Simon Sensei may teach in the evenings. At Thom Sensei's request he will
also teach, both the Friday seniors class (Nov 5th) and an evening class(Rod
please arrange a date that suits). Stu will continue to facilitate the
grading club class (seniors only). John Ward Sensei is also in town next
week too - look out for a surprise appearance :)
Traditional dojos function based on the sempai-kohai relationship, where
senior students act as exemplary role models for their juniors and juniors
showing respect for their seniors. Since all but one member of the club is
someones senior student, be the first to set a good example on and off the
mat, training and setting up. Every one of you is noticed by someone looking
to see what aikido yuishinkai is about. In this way your sensei's are able
to pass on their very best to you.
Best wishes,
Danny
PS see some of you tonight
