Our weekly gameday venue has not moved - we'll still meet up at Billy's.
However, our online presence has moved to facebook. Our chapter President, Mike
Quinn has set up a page for us:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?id=100000073043568&ref=profile
Also, the Bills no longer allow online backers member registration. They have a
Bills Backer locator map (on which we appear) and rely on chapter Presidents to
provide member info. So we'll be starting a new membership list. To "officially"
join go to the link above or email Mike Quinn at StrategiQ
[mike@...].
With sites like myspace and facebook it's likely yahoo groups will go the way of
usenet message boards before long. But, it was fun while is lasted. Let's
continue the discussions of all things Buffalo Bills at facebook and most
importantly - at Billy's on game days.
GO BILLS!!!

I know some of you guys have season tickets
out there. Just wondering if anyone still has tickets available for the Pats
game at the end of the month. I met a couple guys from Syracuse at the Foxboro game and they are
looking.
Thanks,

Hey, I live in Dover and don't need another DWI scare -- so Manchville is out of the question for me. But my loyalty (and my soul -- as it has always been) is with "DA BILLS." And you guys rock the house for keeping the faith.
Enjoyed Sunday's game (thanks, DirecTV) vs. Seattle. It's nice to have our dominating D back and healthy. Nice also to have the BEST special teams in the NFL (what else is new, eh?) after week 1. I also think the Bills could have beaten either the Pats or Indy yesterday. Period.
Anyone else out there who will always also be a Bills fan -- no matter where the hell they live -- should enjoy this "W" and take is as. We're workin' our way back and we should make the playoffs this year. And don't forget to remind all your belligerent, drunk and spoiled Pats-Fan friends that they shouldn't feel too bad, because EXCEPT FOR THE BUFFALO BILLS, NO TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL HAS EVER GONE TO THREE SUPER BOWLS IN A ROW . . . (OH YEAH, THE BILLS ACTUALLY WENT TO FOUR, SORRY)
My Pats-fan friends are now a bit nervous without their Jesus (er, Brady) under center. As well they should be. And Favre? Tell me if I'm wrong here, but haven't we always beat the crap out of the Jets? What about "The Miami Project?" Obviously it will take some time to mature. And even though I agree personally with Ricky Williams' "smoke 'em if you got 'em" philosophy, I don't buy into the whole idea that just because Mr. Dunkin' Freakin' Donuts (Bill Parcells) sits in the front office that the "fish" have a shot at being a contender this year.
Hey, for the first time in years, the division is ours to lose.
Word to the NFL: DON'T OVERLOOK THE BUFFALO BILLS THIS YEAR.
Keep the faith.

I have moved to Virginia, otherwise I would have been there. The bar in
Richmond I see the games at was of course over running with Steelers
fans. BUT the owner is from NT so the Bills game was on the big screen
and we even got the private room! Fantastic.
And yeah, EVERYONE cheered when Brady went down. Could change the whole
season for a lot of teams

I can't speak for any other Backers in this group but I haven't heard
a compelling case for a change of venue. Billy's has been a good
place to watch the games and I would need a good reason to add in the
extra drive time (and expense) to get to Concord.

Hi gang,
The last few seasons many of us have gathered at Billy's Sports Bar in
Manchester. (www.billyssportsbar.com) We've had 7-12 fans per game
and if there aren't any Steelers fans to crowd us, they will turn the
game sound up for us in their side room. The food and drinks are good
and reasonably priced.
But there has been a great increase in the number of sports bars in
Manchester and Concord. I wonder if we should consider negotiating a
deal with a new place? If we can bring a dozen fans in every week, we
could get a break on food and drink, and get our own space with TV and
sound?
I'm pretty happy with Billy's, but we don't have a guarantee that the
game sound will always be up for Bills games. The Steeler crowd seems
to get preference when games are head-to-head. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone,

Yes indeed - heading west on Saturday. I'll be meeting up with a
friend of mine from NC (formerly of Syracuse) who is driving up for
the game. We tailgate in lot 5 directly across from the entrance,
closest row to the stadium. We get to the lot about 30 minutes before
they open to make sure we get our spots. From what I hear, the
parking arrangements are a little different this year so that will be
interesting.
We are in section 142, 1st row.

Hi Sam,
I'm not going to the game this Sunday but I am going
to the Dolphin's game on Dec. 9th. Tickets are still
available and there might be snow. You have to go to
the Dolphin's game. My wife and I lived in Keene, NH
for 7 years. Hope to see you there.

With the toughest schedule in the NFL, almost no one is giving us a shot at
making the playoffs. With the acquisition of Thomas, Moss, and Stallworth, the
so called experts have already crowned the pansies Super bowl champs.
I see a huge opportunity for us to fly under the radar for at least the first
half of the season. I billieve we will be in the wild card hunt at the end of
the season. Our linebacker core looks fantastic, our only issue on D that was't
there last year is corner, the line while a weakness against the run, it was
there last year.
No reason we can't improve on last years record with this team.
I also will be at opening day. See you guys for Pitt!

OK, hopes may not be the highest this season for the Bills but our
desires are simple - just get to the playoffs! Anything beyond that
is gravy at this point. So what are our chances? I think this is a
team that could be an overachiever if the offense can get it in gear.
My concern is the defense, especially with the injuries already
occurring. Poz can't do it all!
As for that offense: Lynch is looking great in his limited action in
the pre-season so reason to be hopeful that the Bills will once again
have a running game. And there is no reason to think JP won't be that
much better this year.
Post your thoughts here and let's get ready to rock!
Once again, barring some better suggestions, Billy's once again will
be the home of Bills fans in the Granite State. I'll be in Buffalo
for opening day but I'll see you all there for the Steelers where we
are sure to have the big screen and sound system with the combined
forces of the Steelers fans and us looking at the same game. That
will be something to see. Start pouring those pints of Guiness now.

anyone happens to know of a opening in Food Service/Hospitality

turn to but THE BILLS BACKERS!!! Thanks everyone!!!
Much appreciated,

Haha,
Good to see this list active again. Some interesting off season
trades for the bills and waiting for playoff time for the sabres.
Anyone know of a good place to watch Sabres games in Manchester? I
have yet to find a bar with Center Ice.

Not a lot of action on this group lately...
It's time for the post season wrap up, from a team perspective and
from a GSBB perspective:
The Team - much improved despite another losing no-playoff season.
Next season there is no reason why we should not have 10+ wins. To
get there: get a run stuffer on the D line, replace the likely
departing Nate Clements, improve the O line.
The group - I know there was some discussion about the pros and cons
of making our home at Billy's but IMO there is no better place to
catch the Bills. We share the back room with any number of groups of
loyal fans. It's not just the Steelers contingent anymore. And,
please note that we outnumbered the Steeler faithful on multiple
occasions. If you add in the fans of the teams that the Bills were
playing each week, we had the most patrons in the room looking at the
Bills more than half the time. It would only take a few more of you
members to join us each week to have a consistent majority and
therefore control over the sound system in the room. We always get to
see our game but often have to listen to another. However, as I was
told last season, majority rules at Billy's. The Steeler fans don't
like it but we are fast becoming the dominant group on gamedays. We
have our "core"
group of fans that are there almost every week and it would be great
to add to it and get a few more tables.
The biggest bone of contention this year seemed to be how the checks
were handled. Some of us got used to separate checks for everyone at
a table and while there is one waitress who has no problem with this,
the rest can't handle it. And I will say, on a busy gameday Sunday,
it may be too much to ask. This may be something we have to adjust to
in the coming season. Other than that its a great place to see a game
and Billy clearly wants to make sure everyone is taken care of and
gets to see their game. Of course, prior to each season it's open to
debate whether we continue to make that our home so post your
comments.
As we look towards the draft, please post your suggestions on who we
should select at #12.
GO BILLS!!!
Did you watch at Billy's again in that back room? I am going to try and plan my travel around the game. I'm joining us from dirty jersey right now. Sadly I missed the game because i was working.
We had a great group at Billy's yesterday to watch the win. 10 Bills fans in what the wait staff acknowledged was the "Bills room". We had the big screen with sound. Great place to watch the Bills pick up a W.
