Unfortunately no. I have a training course this weekend. Hears to hoping I can
find a way to stream the audio over my phone.

Agreed, Jauron made the right call on 4th and 1. McGahee knew it was
4th down, the 100th time a reporter asked him about it, he said he
thought it was 3rd to get them off his back. Not the brightest thing to
say, but he knew the down.

I was at the game in the corner of the endzone looking at that ball as
McGahee cleared the line. The ref gave us an incredibly poor spot on
the ball. The replays they showed in the stadium were from angles that
may not have given the refs enough info to overturn...however...the
angle they showed on ESPN later that night after I made it home...HE
CLEARLY HAD THE FIRST DOWN!!

Also, If anyone is to blame for the loss, it's not McGahee. That was
not the play the broke the camels back. The momentum took a swing, but
how about the Whitner interception that would have been run back for a
TD but we got called for an illegal block in the back (which didn't have
any effect on Whitner taking off with the ball either.) Or how about
Royals holding call after Price converted the first down, forcing us to
have 3rd and 12 which we couldn't convert.

PENALTIES are the reason we lost this game. The stadium was silent in
the first half. Until the crowd noise picked way up after our second
half opening drive, our "O" had no trouble communicating. Losman looked
poised and proficient. The whole offense looked flustered once the
crowd noise took over. We've got to expect this from Losman at the
beginning of the season. If you want to blame Mularkey for
anything...blame him for not allowing Losman to hold the helm last
season so he could build his confidence up. The crowd noise at the
Razor is especially brutal when they get going.

Hoping to make it up to Billy's this weekend, Pitt has a Monday night
game so I'm guessing we should have sound if we have enough guys there
early.

I think Jauron made the right call. With the Patriots (and their
undercover refs), you need as many points as possible to close out a
game. You go for the simple 4th down conversion and then go for the
kill. Had McGahee not tap danced around and simply ran straight into
the hole full speed the way A-train runs, he would've had the first
down...instead, he admits that he thought it was third down...probably
thought he'd get another chance. Unbelievable. Jauron needs to make
him compete for the starting job. He was on fire the year he had to
beat out Travis Henry. I blame Willis for the loss. I blame Jauron for
not putting in A-train...I blame Mike Mularkey for confusing McGahee
by pulling him out all the time last year on third down and I blame
Tom Donahoe for drafting him =)

Fair-weather fans? You haven't seen anything yet.

Those of you who have been in the area a while and remember how easy
it was to go down to Foxboro and get a ticket at the box office on
the morning of a Bills-Pats game know what I'm talking about.

In a few seasons, when the Pats are in a free-fall, the fans and
media will pile on with a ferocity usually reserved for the Red
Sox. The Super Bowls will be forgotten, the Dynasty will be
forgotten, and Bob Kraft will once again threaten to move the team
to Hartford. Or Foxwoods.

Or Merchantsauto.com Stadium in Manchester. That's all the seats
they'll need.

i agree completely Mark. I have always suspected that
Patriots fans at large are a hughly fairweather bunch,
and that just confimred it. of course, i couldnt help
but laugh and smile at the sound of the Boos.

I was in Foxboro to catch the game and ended up missing the big
sack/fumble/TD because the lines to get in the gates were insane. I
found out later it was because some of the gates were closed! I'll

It accomplishes nothing except making me late for the game. Do they

When the teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime, the crowd let
the Pats hear their displeasure. These fans are so spoiled that even
one subpar half of football is just cause to boo your own team. Not
that this hasn't happened at the Ralph (and it was just as irritating
there, more so in fact) but that was during a 3-13 season when you
just couldn't take it any more. These Patriot yahoos won't even be
able to stand an average team now that they have experienced multiple
championships. Too bad for them this is the age of "parity". These
almost losses will turn to actual L's soon enough. Patriot nation may
not want to admit it, but the glory days are over. Next year, the
Bills win for the first time at Gilette Stadium.

they looked good,  O-Line held their own.  Couple coaching mis-ques in my opinion, should have taken the points on 4th and 1 and passing from own end zone late in the game was a risk that probably cost us the game.  Losman did a great job against an excellent defense,  A-Train was a laser through the hole on the touchdown run, where was he in the 2nd half?
.
Headed south Tuesday, tickets to Russ Salvatore's (Salvatores Italian Gardens) annual Bills party at Shooters Saturday night, game on Sunday,  anyone going south?

leave the football at home,  your not allowed to throw the ball around, the cops are out of control at that place...it's fun to watch them run around arresting everyone and there brother,  keystone cops.

I'll be in Foxboro as well. And, for anyone else headed to the game, who would like to tailgate with other Bills fans, here's a piece of a message I received from my former BB chapter - the Boston Bills Backers....
--- start message ---
Given the parking situation at Gillette Stadium (a.k.a "Little North
Korea"), we've found that the best way to have a group tailgate is
to meet beforehand and "convoy" into the stadium. Also, with the
ongoing construction there, it's hard to say which lot we will be
herded into, so the best bet is, as always, to stick together.
So... we'll be meeting at the Bertucci's Restaurant on Rt 1
(southbound) in Norwood at 9 AM. It's about 5 miles south of route
128, on the right, about halfway to the stadium. From there, we'll
all drive in together. Look for Dave Carr in his red Intrepid at Bertuccis. For a map to
Bertucci's, click here: http://tinyurl.com/eufks

I'll be meeting up with the crew at Bertucci's... hope to see some of you there...

So we have had a lot of talk about switching bars, having locations in
Concord or other area's in NH. For opening day where are we going?
Are we still all headed down to billy's?

I watched the NFL Network replay this morning. Sure, Losman had a
fumbled snap and that ridiculous delay of game--but I saw a young
quarterback who was able to step up into the pocket to avoid the rush;
throw some bullets right on target; and just generally look better.

Throw in the 7-yd run that got called back for an illegal formation
call, and he really seemed a lot more comfortable out there.

Quite an improvement over last year. No balls bouncing off the turf--
and at least three throws should have been caught. Had Royal jumped a
little higher, it would have been a TD.

I'm encouraged.

Hey guys,

I am about halfway between Manchester and Lebanon, so will
definitely travel to Billy's this season--at least for some of the
games. But if there's a place with sound around the Leb. area, let
me know and I'll join you.

Mike

Hey Sam,
My brother lives in Lebanon, he just moved there last week from Buffalo.  Slowly I think my whole family is coming to NH.  Anyways, if there are a few more of you in the area, maybe you could set something up at a bar near you all instead of drivin 40 mins for the game?

well, its like that episode of seinfeld when jerry is
on the subway with the naked guy, talking about the
mets and how much everyone on the team sucks but he
still loves their chances this year. i am the same way
with the bills. i got some concerns about losman and
what not, but i am always believing that we can win it
all. i think after the whole norwood/4 straigh fiasco,
we are destined for a storybook ending sometime soon,
and sometime when it is unexpected from everyone else.
Hell, the red sox did it, so can we

I'm in manchester, I would like to goto a local bar but if we could
find one in Concord that we can get sound for, I wouldnt mind paying
the massive 75 cent toll.

Concord that has about two dozen TV's, another alternative to
Billy's. I like Billy's but prefer to have sound.

Hey guys,

Good to see the group is active. GSBB is up to 63 members now, and
growing.

If you go to Billy's on opening day, you'll get the big screen and
sound because the Pats game will definitely be on. During the
season, there's a big bunch of Pitts fans that get the big screen
and sound--they've been going to Billy's for 10 years.

Still cool to sit around with Bills fans, even if you are starting
at a silent screen.

get the sound of the game.... I bet JD's would accomodate the GSBB
group.

your right it was the USFL,  it's been awhile.  I don't know if Losmans the guy, I do agree they need to give him the entire season unless it's hopelessly obvious he doesn't have the tools.

i believe Kelly played in the USFL first. no you are
right, we are brutal. but like i said, first halfs
were great with him last year, some brought me to my
feet, but the second halfs were brutal. and again, you
are right. the team in general was pretty bad last
year. defense disappeared and McGahee (who i wasted a
top 5 pick on in fantasy) was nowhere most of the
season. If we can get that run game going, it should
open it up for Losman a bit
somebody else said it earlier and i totally agree:
Holcomb might be the better quarterback, but he is not
the quarterback of the future. If they really think
Losman is it, then he has to play all season. they
have to give him a chance. and maybe now that there
was some actual competition for the position (sort of)
maybe everone on the team will respect him a bit more
