Billy's vs. JW Hills

First, it's great to know that more Bills fans are here in the
Granite State. Welcome.

I was at Billy's for a few games last season and as I recall we had
anywhere between 4 and 8 members of Bills nation in the house. In
most cases, we were outnumbered by the Steeler fans who got the
bigger screen and sound. Majority rules at Billy's. Unless we have
the most people we won't get the best TV.

The newer sports bar you are thinking of I believe is JW Hill's on
Elm. They do consider themselves more "upscale" but from what I can
see that just means "more expensive", and it is. One other factor to
consider - while Billy's is no-smoke, Hill's allows smoking at the
bar. This may be considered a positive for some of you. For me it's a
negative. In any case, something to think about.

My wife and I have been to Billy's several times during the season
and in the off season and we always get a good meal for a good price
and good service. I am not surprised they win best sports bar in NH
every year.

However, if anyone has other suggestions for a bar/restaurant that
would be better for game days, post your suggestions here. One
concern some of you may have is that depending on where you live,
Manchester is just too far to go to watch a game. Well, there is
nothing that says that GSBB can't have multiple homes all over the
Granite State. We could have a seacoast meeting place, a north
country meeting place, a western NH meeting place and Manchester or
Concord for those of us centrally located. We would in that case,
have four "divisions" in our "league". If there were enough people in
each division who came out to watch the games every week, we could
even turn it into a competition to see which division had more
members at their own Bills bar each week.

In any case, suggestions are always welcome for new and better
meeting places. The only requirement is a guarantee that the Bills
WILL be on at least one TV every week. At Billy's that's not an
issue, it would be on whether any of us are there or not.

GO BILLS!!

P.S. I think it's BS that Holcomb starts tomorrow night at Carolina.

sports bar.....maybe the GSBB chair person could meet with the Bar's
GM and arrange an official GSBB location. At Billy's you very rarely
get the sound of the game.... I bet JD's would accomodate the GSBB
group.

I made it to one or two games at Billy's last season. I plan on attending more this year. I prefer to keep it at a bar rather than in the home setting myself....
