Greetings,

I am Lord Finn O'Donovan, Warlord to the Barony of Storvik and Warlord to House Blackspear. As the winter is long and I am an impatient man, I hereby issue a good faith challenge to each and every Barony, Household, Galatian, Roman, and Anglesee fighter in the Northern Region of Atlantia. The Barony of Storvik challenges each of you to a 5 person winter melee. Between December and March, Storvik will accept a total of 12 challenges. Challenges will be met at our Monday practice in College Park. As such, I ask that you email me to arrange the dates you wish to attend. The rules of the challenge are as follows:

1. You must schedule a date to challenge.

2. We encourage bringing 7-9 fighters for the 5 person melee to ensure full participation.

3. Melees will be fought at 3/4th speed. Since the melees will be held indoors with many adoring spectators, the aggression level will be limited.

4. As these challenges are with those we hope to fight along side in the future all fighters will earn our sincere respect and admiration.

I have had enough positive response to make Nov. 26 th a Regional Practice. The location is Pimmit Park. Practice will start at 1 pm and end at 6 pm so as to allow more time for long distance travelers. Reminders will go out 5 days and 6 hours before the practice.

Well last night we had two knights and three squires at practice, in
addition to the marchal and cosmo.

By the time everyone got started fighting it was 8 and we stopped at 9
to leave.  Practice was ok,  but I don't think we are being intense
enough,  I would like to start either you are fighting or
leanring/training and get out of the sitting around talking mode.

I hope to start attracting more people to this practice as it has a
good indoor site,  though I don't think our practice sites, either
indoor nor outdoor are designed to attact new fighters.  There are many
public places here (like the Mall), we could be useing for practice and
I think we are missing the boat.

There will be no Storvik fighter practice November 20. There is a rotating county wide homeless shelter during the winter. The week of November 20 is the week for St. Andrews church to host this. So on November 20 the hall we use for practice will be filled with cots and the like for the homeless.

The easy way to remember which Monday it is, is to think of it as Thanksgiving week.
