Goran Ivanisevic looked a shadow of his former self, as he was
dispatched in straight sets by Czech Jan Vacek at Queen's on Monday. The
31-year-old Croatian, who won Wimbledon two years ago, has been dogged
by shoulder injuries and his legendary serve deserted him during the 6-2
6-2 defeat on Centre Court. Ivanisevic has slumped to 681 in the world
rankings and must now hope for a wildcard to get into SW19 this year.

I feel sorry for Goran. I hope he's fit enough to compete in Wimbledon
and make a surprise, just like he did two years ago. You have all my

Hi, I joined a long time ago, but have probably never posted before,
or I might have, its that long ago.
I just want to say something, Goran is the best. It was the most
amazing event in sport of all time when he won Wimbledon, and showed
just how much belief is important, that if you believe enough, you
can do anything. God exists, Goran's win is enough proof for me, he
is one of the best ambassadors for the game ever, a man proud of his
country, who plays for not only himself, but for the pride of his
nation, a great character, a nice, sympathetic person, and above all
a great tennis player. There won't be another Goran, no one like him
will ever come along again, no characters are emerging at all, its
all becoming rather boring.
