Hello all...
I am working on a GOBA project and would like to locate the maps of
GOBAs 1-10. I have received a map of GOBA 5 so far but would like to
find the rest. I will pay to have copies made and will return
originals if sent to me.
please contact me at:

Thanks!

Somehow, yahoo will not let me post my e-mail address. Lets see if I
can work around that issue.
My e-mail address: sdg638ataol.com (substitute @ for at)
Thanks,
Steve
I am looking for the biker that stopped to assist me after I was hit
by a car at about the 60 mile mark of the century ride on Tuesday
June 22, 2004.
Thanks, Steve

Ours is a d'lite (seats 2 kids)and we added the stroller option.
Here is a link to the Burley web site
http://www.burley.com/products/trailers/default.aspx?p=d'Lite&i=4
I can also post a photo of ours later; it's in great condition. New
was $349 plus $89 for the stroller package. We're asking $300. E-
mail me directly if you're interested or if you'd like some more
information.
Thanks,

I am looking for a Burley for my daughter.

Anyone have esperience with these? So far, we have not been happy
with the hitch mechanism on the Giant half wheeler - there is too
much play in the joint. Are they all this way? We'd love to buy
used, so post if you have these to sell or any helpful information.

A good place to start is the website at http://www.goba.com. It will give
you next year's dates, plus some good information. The route is announced I
think on November 22 this year. The ride starts on Sunday, with 99% of the
people arriving on Saturday. The location can be anywhere in the state.
I've done 14 GOBA's and it sure seems random to me where they put it next.
You have to be able to comfortably (and comfortably is the key word) rid
50-60 miles per day in all kinds of weather, and all kinds of terrain. It's
run from completely flat to completely hilly (anyone remember 1991????
Yahooo!) It's an incredible experience - if you do it, you won't regret
it! GOBA is like a big family.

My friends... God willing, in about 50 hours we shall meet at Medina
for the start of our weeklong adventure.
At this moment, as I have done in previous years, I'd like to offer a
simple prayer for us GOBA riders and staff.
--------
Dear God, I pray to You that whether you bless us with tail winds and
sunshine or challenge us with head wind and rain, that you keep us
all safe during our adventure and allow us to enjoy and share the fun
of the ride.
Please let us enjoy the hospitality of our neighbors at the host
towns as well as along the road. Let us see the beauty and learn more
about the history, heritage and people of our home State.
And in the end, when with your help we return to Medina, let us be
grateful for all the memories and for having the opportunity to share
all this in friendship and as a family.
Amen
********************
Thanks for the offer but I don't think I'm going to be able to make it after
all - still have my company (she's staying with us for 6 weeks this summer)
and plus that.... I haven't even been on the bike since last July. Sad, but
true. RATS!!!!!!!!!!!
I appreciate you guys thinking of us though - tell Blake he's it for the
next year and NO cheating!

wants to get in a 50 mile ride in the morning before we leave. It is
only about a 30 minute drive for us.
It would be great to see you if you are available!

We have used a variety of duffle bags and they have all been fine.
Some bags do get thrown pretty far and an external frame backpack can
get damaged. Bags that are strapped together or have stuff strapped
onto them are much more likely to get damaged.
You can get a bag from walmart for about $25 which will do and it will
even last you a couple years worth of bike trips. Just don't pack it
so tight it is nearly bursting as the zippers will give way on a
cheaper bag. It helps to pack your stuff in plastic bags inside your
duffle just in case of rain. We also spray waterproofing on our bags
and they stay quite dry.

And Lisa, even if you aren't riding this year come by and say Hello

about it you can avoid Blake and he will still be IT!
