You've probably heard that the Smartgroups message board will cease to
exist at the end of November. The moderator hurried up and set up a
third message board without soliciting any input from the members.
If you're happy with this (Yahoo) board and don't want to mess with a
third message board (sign-in, passwords, etc.), I encourage you to go
to the Smartgroups board and say so in the "Not ANOTHER goba group"
discussion thread.

Or, you can try to convince me why we need a third group. That might
be hard. Here's why I like Yahoo:
1. All my groups are available from the Yahoo tool bar. (I'm in 8
groups, and about to start 2 more.)
2. I use one signon for all of them, as well as my email.
3. Features include file, photos, links, database, member list, and
calendar.
4. You can list posts by date or discussions.
5. It's easy to post a message or reply, either plain text or rich text.
6. When I sign into email, I'm automatically signed in to my groups.
7. Many of us are also members of the XOBA Yahoo board.
8. You can set your personal options to receive/not receive posts by
email (in case you don't check it often).
Side note: Yahoo basic email is free, and is great for keeping the
same email address when changing internet service providers (ISPs).
I've done this through four providers.
