My wife and I are attending our first GOBA. We have a plan and I am
interested in your opinion on the flaws in our plan and any
suggestions you can make. We have a pick up truck with a camper shell
and an air mattress (nothing fancy). We have registered the truck with
GOBA and we are planning on this being our sleeping quarters rather
then a tent every day. My wife does not want to ride every day nor
does she want to ride the full route every day. The plan is she will
drive the pick up to the days destination, possibly ride back to the
last rest stop and ride back with me to the days GOBA site. Or we also
thought we might meet other riders using this same method and trade
bike transportation to the last rest site. On lay over days we can
ride together without any problem. Since we are taking our pick up
truck to each site we are not using the baggage transportation from
GOBA.
We will be glad to fill the pickup up with people (6 in the cab and
as many that can pile into the bed)to go to local restaurants or local
attraction. We are looking forward to GOBA and meeting new friends.
