1st time GOBA rider wondering what's important?   Message List

RE: [gobagroup] 1st time GOBA rider wondering what's important?

Sunscreen would never have occurred to me because I have a "bike rider" tan
even in February. It's a running gag with non-riding friends who laugh about
it and make me show 'em the lines.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned yet is sunscreen. If you don't want
a "GOBA/Bike rider" tan, you should have a heavy sunscreen or long pants,
keep in mind the funky tan from your gloves, as well! All the other
suggestions that I've read have been great and though I've only been on one
GOBA ride, it is a fantastic experience. The host cities were very gratious
and we are welcomed with open arms. Plan on taking advantage of the evening
entertainment or what ever activities the host city provides. Last year was
a blast for my children and myself. Above all, train, train, train. This
is supposed to be a hilly ride. Enjoy!!!
