One thing that I haven't seen mentioned yet is sunscreen. If you don't want a
"GOBA/Bike rider" tan, you should have a heavy sunscreen or long pants, keep in
mind the funky tan from your gloves, as well! All the other suggestions that
I've read have been great and though I've only been on one GOBA ride, it is a
fantastic experience. The host cities were very gratious and we are welcomed
with open arms. Plan on taking advantage of the evening entertainment or what
ever activities the host city provides. Last year was a blast for my children
and myself. Above all, train, train, train. This is supposed to be a hilly
ride. Enjoy!!!

what the repeat riders
have learned...what's important...what's not needed. When I think of
trying to sleep on hard ground (scares me more than the ride!!) All I
want is to get clean...and sleep good at nite. So any
advice...anything!...clothes... tent, sleeping bag... chair etc?? I'm
wide open!
