This Sunday (05/22) is the first of a three race series called the Saxon
Hill Challenge. This race series is a fun raiser for the SNSC Ski Club.

Saturday May 21, 2005

Set up Fencing: 2 people 2 hours
• Set blue fencing in finish area
• Set banner guard up in start area
• Put up red tape on landing
• Put up red tape at start/lap point


Set up Start and Finish areas: 2 people 1 hour
• Set up staging
• Hang start banner
• Hang finish banner
• Hang banners

Course Maintenance: 2 people 2-3 hours
• Cut up down trees
• Put down arrows up on hazard areas
• Put sport/expert and beginner signs out

Set up tent: 2 people 30 minutes

Tables / Benches From Club: 1 person
• Transport all tables and 5 or 6 benches from club to Palmers

Set up Registration Area:
• Hang registration banner
• Set up registration table
• Organize registration materials (see check list)
• Man registration table 9:00-11:00 1 person

General:
• Set up timing table
• Set up grill/ food tables
• Place trash cans around
• Put signs on both ends of Skunk Hollow Rd.
• Help set Scottie up
• Organize prizes

Parking:
• Parking attendant to direct parking


Course Crew:
• Course reporters (3 people radios) These people report to Scottie but most
importantly they act in a similar way to a gate keeper. They record what bib
numbers have passed their area; this is key in knowing who is left on course and
were they are. If someone needs assistance or becomes injured the reporters
notify Palmer by radio and assists the injured party until help arrives.
• Pre Rider – This person rides the course before the start to make sure that
all signs are in place and all making tape is in place.
• Course break down – 2 people, one works from start to finish and the other
from finish to start removing all signs and marking tape as they go. When they
meet there done.
• Break down Start and Finish area
• Break Down fencing/Banner Guard
• Transport tables/benches back to club
• Clean up parking areas
