I'm pleased to report that last weekend's MVP Health Care Bitter Pill was a terrific success!  34 teams from across the US and Canada competed, including some of the best teams on the continent.  In one of the closest finishes ever in a 12-hour AR, three teams completed the race within three minutes of each other, and just shy of the 11 hour mark!  Team Eastern Mountain Sports claimed the title in 10 hours and 46 minutes, with team GOALS a close second at 10:47, and Berlin Bike in third at 10:49.   Finding checkpoint X (where's *your* lizard?) brought their (adjusted) time down to nine and a half hours.  With a longest on-course time of just over 13 hours, evil course designer Jim clearly managed to create a race that was challenging for every ability of racer.  To paraphrase GOALS teammember Dan Smith: "I've never felt so beat after a competition before - I'm thrilled with the race!"  The post-race party at The Cider House will go down in history as being one of the best ever - all you can eat southern BBQ and key lime pie, live music, a slideshow of the race, massages, and plenty of prizes to give away.  Thanks to MVP Health Care and all our other sponsors and volunteers for making this event possible!  (Volunteers - we'll be seeing you soon at the post-race wrapup dinner.  We're working on getting a special gift made up for ya too...)
