Introducing Chris Radcliffe...

We knew the day would come in which we'd have to share the fabulous
Will Ramos (www.waramos.com). Will has given us an incredible body of
work that has inspired thousands.

I'm pleased to announce that Chris Radcliffe, a very talented and
passionate photographer, will be joining us again at the ODAR. Many of
you had the opportunity to meet him in KY in 2006 and this season at
the WWAR.

Chris tells me that the moment he knew he was hooked on adventure
racing photography was when he was in a cave...all alone...in the
dark...in Kentucky.

He'd neglected to bring his headlamp as he followed a team into the
caving portion of the Odyssey KY AR. A piece of his camera gear went
clattering onto the cave floor and the team kept moving as he paused
to retrieve it. It was pitch black, cold, damp and it soon become
apparent that another team was not around the corner. Did Chris panic?
No. He began to smile. It was in that moment that he knew he was SOLD.

How did he exit the cave, you ask? He used the flash on his digital
camera to take a picture of the cave ahead, viewed the shot, took a
few steps based on the image, and took another and another until he
felt the sun on his face again.
