The Herc Open VT Speed Hiking Competition is a brand new trail race
happening on August 11th at Sugarbush Resort and $25,000 cash purse is
up for grabs. There are two courses offered; A Long Loop for the
competitive runner/hiker- with a distance of 16 miles and total
elevation gain over 6,500 feet, and A Short Loop for the recreational
runner/hiker- distance of 5 miles and total elevation gain less than
2,000 feet. Race entry includes delicious food, a high performance t-
shirt, entertainment, and lots of cash and prizes. A portion of the
registration fee will be donated to the Pulmonary Hypertension
Association, a 501-(c)3 non-profit organization. For more information
