Was this match ever televised, if so does anyone remember anything about it? Who
won, how, etc. An unreliable source said it did and I'm looking for
confirmation.
I remember reading an article in People Magazine
(May 1989 I think) that mentioned they were taping in
a warehouse outside of Vegas. Given the obvious
physical differences between the venue used during seasons
1, and 2 and that of season 3, 4 I would tend to
believe it. I do think they continued to perform at the
Riveria during this time, just not tape there.
How many times did the Headhunters wrestle as a
tag team? I know they wrestled the Cheerleaders and
then Little Egypt & Tara the Southern Belle. What ever
happened to the Headhunter tag team? Manna doesn't look
like any of Headhunters from when I saw them wrestle
the Cheerleaders.
The front cover on GLOW Magazine #5 has Babe The
Farmer's Daughter up against a turnbuckle trying to kick
away Broadway Rose. The backcover has Sally The
Farmer's Daughter up against a turnbuckle giving a
scissors lock on Hollywood's neck and Babe The Farmer's
Daughter is holding Broadway Rose by the neck. The
featured stories are a report on Manna The Headhunter, an
interview with the Housewives, photos of a Back Alley Brawl
match between Sally & Babe vs. Hollywood & Broadway
Rose, an interview with Sally & Babe, Big Bad Mama
making threats towards Mt. Fiji, and an interview with
Little Fiji saying she's tired of being pushed around.
The posters were of Big Bad Mama & Vicky Victory, The
Housewives, Little Fiji, and The Farmer's Daughters.
Tina and Ashley had just beaten Attache and
Palastina in a texas tornado match, Ashley and Attache were
outside the ring fighting when Tina scored the pin, as
her hand was being raised Palastina hit her in the
back with a "wooden" chair, and applied the camel
clutch, at that point Americana made the save.
I think there were at least 7, the last issue I
got was #6 with Fiji/MTV on the cover. I remember
seeing another issue but I could,'t get it at the time,
when I went back it was gone. What were the front and
back covers of #5? Also what were the featured stories
as well as the posters?
How many GLOW Magazine issues were made? I have
all the issues except for the 1st issue. The last
GLOW Magazine that I have is the one where Mt. Fiji is
holding up MTV in the air. I got to see GLOW on tour when
they were in San Diego. I have a magazine program
"Live GLOW" that included pages from the issue where
Chainsaw & Spike were interviewed.
I would have liked to have seen GLOW Action
Figures. That's the one thing I wish would have been
available. I know there were GLOW T-Shirts and the GLOW
Magazine. What other things were available from GLOW? Did
any of you join the fan club that was offered through
the magazine?
As I recall Americana was being attacked and the
flag was about to be burned or destroyed in some other
manner when Red came to save the day, she said something
about America and the Latin Nations being very close
and swore to defend the flag or something to that
effect. Her face turn lasted around 3 weeks, after facing
Angel and Attache she and Ashley were in a match vs
Matilda, Red turned heel, backstabed Ashley, and helped
Matilda flatten Her.
Vicky Victory sometimes played either Sara or Mable. I could tell because they
had the same voice. Also, Chainsaw and Spike were also Arleen and Phyllis the
housewives.
Does anyone know what any of the GLOW girls are doing these days? I know that
Tina Ferrari is now in the WWF known as Ivory. I saw Hollywood a couple weeks
ago on The Dating Game TV show.
Who do you think are the worst GLOW girls? I
think the worst GLOW girls would have to be Little
Feather, Little Fiji, and Princess of Darkness. They
couldn't wrestle even if they tried. I don't even remember
a match where they were the winners. The only way
Little Fiji would win was if she teamed up with someone.
It probably happened during season 1, after that
Tina pretty much could take care of herself, I'm
getting a tape early next week with 3 Tina/Ashley tag
matches on it, if it's one of them (I have a hunch it
might be) I'll follow up.
I vaguely remember a match where Americana came in to rescue Tina & Ashley.
Does anyone remember this? Does anyone remember who was wrestling in this match.
I vaguely remember in the 1st video of GLOW there
was a comedy skit of a wrestler called Jailbait. Does
anyone remember this? I have seen her picture in the
GLOW magazine with the final group of GLOW girls. Why
wasn't she wrestling with the first group of GLOW girls
if she had a skit when GLOW first started?
