Hi Jodie,
I hope your injury is better. Some high graded Kareteka are very good
at techniques etc but not very good at imparting that knowledge,
whilst some mid kyu level instructors can lack somewhat on technique
but make great instructors, not sure why that is, but having great
technique does not necessarily make you an instructor.
Not completing proper stretching and warm ups is a recipe for injury,
you should also "warm down" at the end of a class. A slow series of
Kata is often a good way to do this.
The best approach is probably to talk to your sensei directly and
tell him how you feel, most sensei enjoy feedback from students.
Failing that, talk to your RM, he/she should be made aware of what is
happening (but only if you have given your sensei the opportunity to
change).
