Agree with stat comparison. However, Rice played in the expansion stat
distortion era, and was not the all around ballplayer Gil was. And, stats are
the worst way to evaluate a ballplayer. If one uses stats alone compare stats to
own era players.

Glad Jim got in , now some more comparisons to GIL as homers and RBI are
similar to JIM but Rice had .300 lifetime average----I am glad for Jim
but would be gladder for GIL
