I just dawned on me: All those All-Star teams that Gil was on -- that
wasn't from a fan vote. He was voted onto those teams by his peers
(players, coaches, etc). His PEERS thought he was the best player for
all those years. The current crop of Hall of Fame voters (not his
peers, obviously) can't see ... Aw, I'm just getting myself all crazy
again.
