It's pretty clear now that Gil will probably never get into the Hall of Fame....and you know what?.......I really don't care. The institution is run by idiots...

I couldn't agree more, but what bothered me the most was Joe Morgan's crack about "lowering standards". Lowering standards? Seven consectutive 100 rbi...

After being raised by a parent who translated baseball as a way of life & had a deication to the game & the Brooklyn Dodgers, it saddens me to echo the words...
