I am an Old Brookklyn Dodgers Fan from Newfoundland, Canada, who
started listen to MLB approx 1950. I had lots of bad World Series
memories but 1955 really did me proud. I remember Campy, Gil, PewWee,
Jackie, Duke and the rest of the players. Now, Gil has to join the
rest of them in the Hall Of Fame. I didn't get to see Ebbets Field,
however, I have a picture of it on my computer desk. I was very
disappointed when it was tore down and the Dodgers left for LA.
I am honored to help Gil get into the Hall Of Fame and at the same
time I am trying to re-live my baseball memories of Brooklyn and the
radio announcer's voice saying.....and the Duke has just hit another
one out on Bedford Avenue.
Lets all of us do our letter writing at the appropriate time to get
Gil into the Hall Of Fame. Maybe it will be another happy time for
all Dodgers fans just like 1955, especially for Gil and his family.
