AVP TV offers the Stadium Court Experience to fans everywhere

AVP TV will be streaming the action from Stadium Court in Riverside all weekend long

AVP TV provides live streaming audio and video from AVP’s Stadium Court.
It’s the best way to get close to the action without leaving home!
Watch all the best beach volleyball action from Center Court, including
real-time commentary by the AVP’s emcee extraordinaire, Chris “Geeter”
McGee.

“I am very excited to be a part of AVP TV,” said McGee. “It’s a great way for our core fans to hear the action and be dialed in on center court from anywhere. It’s also an opportunity for our new fans to get to know all the players and see the great athletes on the AVP Crocs Tour. It will change the way people connect with the great sport of beach volleyball.”

“AVP Radio from last year has graduated to AVP TV. The hard work of Marc Werschkul, Carly Keese and Chris McGee pulled off a terrific production for our homebound fans last tournament,“ said Jason Hodell, CEO. “We continue to seek more ways for fans to meet a greater set of players and experience more AVP tournament play from afar.”

Hello Coaches,
My name is Tony Fathergill and I am the founder of PACIFIC COAST VOLLEYBAL
CAMPS! I founded PCV Camps 13 years ago in San Jose, California with many goals
in mind. My main goal has always been to offer an amazing camp experience at a
very affordable price and the best part is- we travel to you! Yes- my highly
educated and talented staff travels to your school or facility to teach your
kids the essential fundamentals of our great sport of volleyball! We want to
spread our tremendous knowledge of volleyball in order to help your kids reach
their individual and team goals! Why travel to another over packed- over priced
camp when you could stay right at home and have a more productive and
inexpensive camp? Through my knowledge and experience I have found a receipe
that produces possitive results! I am so sure and proud that our system works-
I guarentee every PCV Camp. I would also be happy to get you plenty of
refferences from totally satisfied coaches that truly believe in our camps! The
bottom line is- I care about the future of volleyball and more importantly I
care about the value of teaching our youth the importance of things like:
Hardwork, Teamwork, Pride, and having FUN! I have so many amazing stories of
the lives that we have been fortunate to touch and I would like to get you more
information on our PCV Mission! It's a great time for volleyball and I would
like to provide your area, school or club with an exciting experience at a great
price! We offer many different types of camps for your needs. Please check
out our website or contact me directly and I would be happy to get your more
information on this incrediable opportunity.
Thanks for your time and best of luck!

Dalhausser, Rogers reign supreme
Powerhouse duo remains undefeated in 2008

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta closed out the first day with an
exciting three-match night session featuring reigning world champions Phil
Dalhausser and Todd Rogers in Friday night's finale.
In the early match, the fourth-seeded team of John Hyden and Brad Keenan took
the match in three tough games from John Mayer and Jeff Nygaard winning 21-19,
17-21 and 15-10.

The second matchup of the night featured second-seeded women's team, Jenny
Johnson Jordan and Annett Davis against 18th seeds Janelle Ruen and Saralyn
Smith. After a 35-minute match, Johnson-Jordan and Davis earned the win in two
games both ending in a score of 21-15.

"We had some good rallies," said Jordan. "They're a good ball control team. They
did some funky things and played really steady. It's kind of nice to play at
night because its like a finals atmosphere, and much cooler," Jordan added.

In the final match of the evening, Dalhausser and Rogers continued their winning
ways, earning a hard fought victory over 17th seeds Mike Morrison and Ty
Tramblie, taking the match in two games, 23-21 and 21-19. The top-ranked team
has now notched 25 consecutive AVP Crocs Tour main draw match victories and is
undefeated in 2008.

"I expected them to play well, especially under the lights, they have nothing to
lose," Rogers said. "Ty's a pretty great defensive player and Mike's a great
blocker. I was hoping it wouldn't be that close; I was kind of struggling with
some sideouts and gave up some points, but it all worked out in the end."

The AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta continues through the weekend at Atlantic Station.
For tickets, please visit avp.com. The box office opens Saturday morning at 9
a.m., tickets start $20.

Walsh overcomes injury for fourth title
Teammate May-Treanor steps it up after time off
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- AVP Crocs Tour, and rest of the world take notice, Kerri Walsh's right shoulder is fine. Walsh, one half of the world's best women's beach volleyball team, proved that this holiday weekend in the AVP Crocs stop in Louisville.
Monday afternoon Walsh and partner Misty May-Treanor, the tournament's top seed, beat No. 2 seed Annett Davis and Jenny Johnson Jordan 21-14, 21-11 in the women's final. It was the fourth tournament title of the season for May-Treanor and Walsh in the latter's first action since sitting out to rest her surgically repaired shoulder.
"It was three weeks, and I was dying to play," Walsh said. "Misty's been so supportive and such a great partner. "But it was good to come out and show everybody that my shoulder was fine. It was okay, though, we didn't lose anything because of it and we became a better team because of it. It's getting better and better, so watch out world."
While the Olympics are still a few months away, Walsh and May-Treanor proved to the rest of the AVP Crocs Tour that they are just fine. The duo was pushed to three games by No. 5 seed Carrie Dodd and Tatiana Minello late Saturday night, but they bounced back to win both of their Monday matches in two games each -- not allowing more than 15 points in any one -- despite not getting much rest.
"I told my husband, 'I feel like a Major League Baseball player,'" said May-Treanor, who is married to Florida Marlins catcher Matt Treanor. "Our game got over so late last night ... then we ordered pizza that came about 12:30 [a.m.], then went to bed at 2 [a.m.] and woke up at 10."
In the final, Walsh had 13 kills in 19 attempts (a 63.2 hitting percentage) to go along with nine digs and four blocks.
"I haven't been worried [about Walsh's shoulder]," said May-Treanor, who had nine kills and 11 digs. "I just want her to be strong...Sometimes I had to be a little harder on her and say, 'No, you have to stop.'"
But there was no stopping Walsh and May-Treanor in the final.
In the first game, Walsh had seven kills and four digs while May-Treanor had four kills, four digs and an ace.
In the second game, the top seeds broke out to a 9-4 lead and never looked back. They continued to do it with defense as May-Treanor had seven digs and Walsh five in the game.
"When you play against them, it's never going to be an easy game, Jenny and Nety could come back in a heart beat," Walsh said.
Davis finished the match with 10 kills, six digs and three blocks, while Johnson Jordan had six kills, five digs, but had five service errors.
Afterward, Walsh was all smiles.
"The shoulder right now is the least of my worries, I kind of tweaked my back [in the first match of the tournament], I guess I'm just getting old," joked the 29-year-old.
Then she added that she was looking forward to coming back to Louisville. "Let's go 3-for-3 next year, I love it," Walsh said.
In the semifinals: The 5-foot-6 Lindquist sisters, Katie and Tracy, who were making their first ever AVP semifinals appearance, were no match for the 6-foot-3 Walsh and the 5-foot-9 May-Treanor at the net. The top seeds defeated the No. 8 seeds 21-9, 21-15 to improve to 17-0 all-time against the sister act.
May-Treanor had 17 kills, 11 digs and three blocks in the win, while Walsh had 12 kills, 13 digs and four blocks. Katie Lindquist had 12 kills and four digs while Tracy Lindquist had 11 kills and eight digs.
Meanwhile, Davis and Johnson Jordan had to go three games to beat the No. 5 seeds Dodd and Minello 21-15, 17-21, 15-12. Davis and Johnson Jordan improved to 5-1 all-time against Dodd and Minello, but three of the last four have gone three games.
Johnson Jordan had 24 kills and 10 digs in the win, while Davis had 11 kills, six digs and five aces. Dodd had 28 kills and seven digs in a losing effort.
In the contender's bracket: The eighth-seeded Lindquist sisters knocked off the No. 6 seeds Ashley Ivy and Heather Lowe 23-21, 21-14 in the fourth round, while Dodd and Minello beat the ninth seeds Michelle More and Suzanne Stonebarger 21-14, 21-12.
The AVP Crocs Tour heads to Atlanta this coming weekend.

Dalhausser, Rogers win again
Top seeds remain unbeaten during open play
By Josh Cook / Special to avp.com

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers made it 5-for-5.

Top seeds Dalhausser and Rogers rallied from deficits in the first and third
games to beat No. 2 seed John Hyden and Brad Keenan 22-20, 17-21, 15-13 on
Monday afternoon in the men's final of the AVP Crocs Tour stop in Louisville.

It was the fifth AVP Crocs Tour win this season in as many tournaments for
Dalhausser and Rogers, and the second straight title in Louisville for the
dynamic duo.

Dalhausser and Rogers scored the final three points of the third game to improve
to 25-0 this year in AVP Crocs Tour events.

"At the end of the game we pretty much clutched up and made some big plays,"
said Rogers, who had 30 kills and four digs in the final despite battling the
flu this weekend too. Rogers and Dalhausser trailed 12-10 late in the third
game, but Rogers followed up a cross-court kill with his only ace of the match
to tie the score at 12.

"I'd like to thank Todd for that ace," Dalhausser said as he addressed the
stadium crowd after the match.

"I was kind of pissed off we were struggling, so I told myself to go back and
hammer that serve," Rogers recalled afterwards.

And though Hyden and Keenan scored the next point, Rogers' ace sparked the
tournament's top seeds. Rogers tied the game at 13, then Dalhausser blocked
Hyden to make it 14-13.

Dalhausser's subsequent serve bounced off the net cord, forcing Keenan to
stumble and making him unable to try to block Dalhausser's match-clinching
spike.

"We had a chance to win, but you can't make any mistakes against that team,"
Keenan said.

"You have to sideout about 98 percent of the time and you can't make any
mistakes against them because they'll shove it down your throat."

Hyden and Keenan had beaten Dalhausser and Rogers in three games May 4 in the
semifinals of the Cuervo Gold Crown Championships in Huntington Beach, Calif.
and they employed their same strategy from that match -- going at Rogers -- in
this match too.

The first game featured 14 ties. Dalhausser and Rogers surged ahead 16-14, but
Hyden and Keenan reeled off four straight points -- thanks in large part to
back-to-back aces by Keenan.

But Dalhausser and Rogers rallied to tie the score at 19, then 20 before a net
violation on Keenan gave the top seeds a 21-20 lead. Rogers closed out the game
with a kill down the line, his 12th of the game.

In the second game, Dalhausser and Rogers ran out to a 7-3 lead, but Hyden and
Keenan fought back. Trailing 9-7, they scored six straight points sparked by
Keenan's blocking, to take a 13-9 lead. The No. 2 seeds held Dalhausser and
Rogers at bay the rest of the way in the game.

The third game featured nine ties, the final at 13-all because Dalhausser and
Rogers closed out the match to become the first team to win the first five
events of the season since Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos won the first six in
1988.

Dalhausser finished the match with 12 kills in 12 attempts, three blocks and two
aces. Keenan, who was trying to win his first AVP title, had 23 kills, four
blocks and five aces, while Hyden had 10 kills and six digs.

In the semifinals: Dalhausser and Rogers were pushed in the first game by the
No. 3 seeds, Nick Lucena and Sean Scott, before they prevailed 24-22, 21-12.
Rogers had 19 kills and four digs, while Dalhausser added 11 kills and eight
blocks. Scott had 17 kills and Lucena seven digs in a losing effort.

In the other semifinal, Hyden and Keenan bested the sixth seeds, Matt Olson and
Kevin Wong, 21-19, 21-14. It was a revenge win for Hyden and Keenan after Olson
and Wong had beaten them in two games in April at the Dallas Open. Keenan had 17
kills and three blocks, while Hyden added 12 kills and 10 digs. Olson had 17
kills in a losing effort.

In the contender's bracket: Lucena and Scott knocked off John Mayer and Jeff
Nygaard -- the only double-digit seeds left in the tournament at 12 -- 21-15,
21-18 while Olson and Wong upended the No. 4 seeds Anthony Medel and Fred Souza
21-19, 21-14 to advance to the semifinals for the second straight week.

The AVP Crocs Tour heads to Atlanta this coming weekend.

What has become of her... after the assistant coaching job at UT?

She played on my team while she was a student at UGA and we won 10 1st
place trophies. She was not on each of these teams... but many of them.
It was great playing with her AND watching her at UGA try to get
the 'Bull Dogs' or rather Lady Dogs attempts to secure so many tight
games. The one they won agains University of Florida and University of
Tennessee and University of of Michigan were great. Julie Pestruchi was
my favoirit player, 2003 (?) 3rd highest in SEC history (she gave me a
ride home one night).

But where is Cindy if not on Barefoot Drive (Florida).
