Dalhausser, Rogers reign supreme
Powerhouse duo remains undefeated in 2008

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta closed out the first day with an
exciting three-match night session featuring reigning world champions Phil
Dalhausser and Todd Rogers in Friday night's finale.
In the early match, the fourth-seeded team of John Hyden and Brad Keenan took
the match in three tough games from John Mayer and Jeff Nygaard winning 21-19,
17-21 and 15-10.

The second matchup of the night featured second-seeded women's team, Jenny
Johnson Jordan and Annett Davis against 18th seeds Janelle Ruen and Saralyn
Smith. After a 35-minute match, Johnson-Jordan and Davis earned the win in two
games both ending in a score of 21-15.

"We had some good rallies," said Jordan. "They're a good ball control team. They
did some funky things and played really steady. It's kind of nice to play at
night because its like a finals atmosphere, and much cooler," Jordan added.

In the final match of the evening, Dalhausser and Rogers continued their winning
ways, earning a hard fought victory over 17th seeds Mike Morrison and Ty
Tramblie, taking the match in two games, 23-21 and 21-19. The top-ranked team
has now notched 25 consecutive AVP Crocs Tour main draw match victories and is
undefeated in 2008.

"I expected them to play well, especially under the lights, they have nothing to
lose," Rogers said. "Ty's a pretty great defensive player and Mike's a great
blocker. I was hoping it wouldn't be that close; I was kind of struggling with
some sideouts and gave up some points, but it all worked out in the end."

The AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta continues through the weekend at Atlantic Station.

a.m., tickets start $20.
