USA Volleyball Announces Tentative 2007 High Performance Tryout Schedule

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 14, 2006) – USA Volleyball has tentatively
scheduled 37 tryout dates its High Performance Program in 2007, including 25
for girls and 12 for boys.

USA Volleyball High Performance tryouts for boys will be conducted in seven
different states between Jan. 12 and March 4. USA High Performance tryouts
for girls will be conducted between March 2 and April 26 in 13 different
states. Each tryout session lasts four hours with the first hour designed
for registration and physical testing followed by three hours of tryout
activity.

The High Performance Program at USA Volleyball is the "pipeline" for young
volleyball athletes who aspire to reach the elite level of their sport and
who dream to one day represent the USA on the national men’s or women’s
volleyball team.

High Performance provides many team and camp opportunities for young
volleyball athletes in three designated age groups for each gender. These
age groups are determined by an athlete's year of birth (using international
criteria) and begin approximately when they are 13 or 14 years old,
continuing for six seasons, often into their collegiate years.

The goals of the High Performance Program include: to bring young volleyball
athletes together in challenging and rewarding training environments; to
expose these athletes to the methods and systems of the USA national men’s
and women’s teams; to provide them the opportunity to train and develop with
the best coaches in the USA Coaches' Pipeline; and to provide these athletes
with demanding competition experiences at the elite and international
levels.

In 2007, athletes again will have the option of registering directly on-line
or printing an application form and then faxing or mailing it to the USA
Volleyball office in Colorado Springs. Both of these methods will be
available by the end of this week through the USA Volleyball web site.
