Saturday Ride - Cold weather alternative   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #12 of 1602 |
It's going to be very cold on Saturday morning so, in lieu of the
regular All About Bicycles muffin/bagel/doughnut ride, I thought we
might take the opportunity to stay indoors and work on our
technique. So, I've asked David Field of Gulf Coast Cycle Fit to
bring some high tech equipment and some old school gear to help us
improve our pedaling efficiency.

For the high tech portion, David will provide each of us with a
basic CompuTrainer Spin Scan analysis. The Spin Scan program will
show you how efficient your pedal stroke is and where you can
improve. Spin Scan is a truly enlightening experience.

In the old school session, David will give us some tips on riding
rollers. Roller training is probably one of the best tools for
earning a smooth pedal stroke ever invented but they do take some
time to master and a little knowledge goes a long way in getting
started.

Bring your bike, shoes, shorts, gloves and be ready to improve your
pedaling.

We'll start at the usual time of 7:00am and go until around 9:00am
and yes, we'll still be eating doughnuts and drinking coffee.

Hope to see you there. Call or email if you have any questions.
