There are a number of things coming up with Gateway Sports. 

Connect:

1 - New Men's and Co-ed Softball Spring season is starting at the beginning of May with Registrations starting now.  If you've been looking for an area to help with Gateway, we will need a coach or two to step up due to the high demand.  Here's the link to register: Men's Softball: http://tinyurl.com/SB-Spring-Gateway

2 - Basketball - I'd like to get a pick-up game together this Wednesday at the McNeil Gateway location after work.  The weather's a little sketchy, but let's schedule a time at 5:30pm.  Bring some water.

3 - Basketball - We have our 4th Annual 3 on 3 Southside Shootout April 18th.  The deadline is April 13th.

Details: It's that time again! Get your basketball teams together for this year's 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Covington Middle School. Games begin at 10am! The tournament is co-ed and it will be double elimination so each team will play two games guaranteed! The cost is $5 per player and tournament T-shirts can be purchased for $10 but are not required.  The potluck picnic will begin at noon. More details on the picnic to come so stay tuned! 4 - Gateway Sports in the garage - Come on out and connect with others from Sports on April 19th at the Garage from 11 - 1 pm.  We'll be hanging out.

Help:

1 - Miracle League Help - We are looking for a number of people to come out and volunteer for the spring season.  You can find more information at www.miracle.tandcsports.org.  The season begins April 4th.  Please contact Claire Milam for further questions at clairemilam@....

2 – The Special Olympics are looking for helpers for April 24^th and/or April 25^th.  You won't find a more rewarding experience.  Volunteer at: http://a13sp09.eventbrite.com/

Come check out the Gateway Sports Small Group.  They meet up twice a month and head to a sporting event once a month.  They have golfers, softball players, basketball players, tennis players, and all other people interested in sports in the group.  For more information, contact Todd Cottrell at tbc68@....

So I was wondering when and where I sign up for the Spring co-ed
softball team...?

Hey Everyone,

Come and join others to watch the Super Bowl at the McNeil location
with the big screens in the Auditorium.  Bring neighbors, friends,
and peers.  Everyone is welcome.  Show up early (4pm) and enjoy some
tailgating, pick-up Basketball, and Flag Football games.  We'll open
the Auditorium at 5pm and begin enjoying a Pot Luck Super Bowl
party!!!!  Please bring some of your favorite game watching snacks
to share with others.  We will have `activities' throughout the game
to keep the game interesting and social too.  All we ask is to
please bring some items to help supply Gateway's food pantry.  For

Please let Phil know this week.  If they don't get enough to form a
team, then they won't have a team.

Due to its popularity, a group of us from Gateway and the community
are forming a second Gateway kickball team to play in
the Austin Parks Coed Kickball League on Friday evenings.

Here is the general information you need to know. If you are
interested please let me know ASAP since team registration begins
Aug. 20th and fills up fast. It would be great to have a full
roster by the start of registration so we don't miss out.

Season Start: Sept. 19th
Game Night: Friday
Game Times: 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 8:50
Season Cost: $25 (less depending on how many additional
players sign up)
Season Length: 10 weeks (8 Games & 2 bye's)
Game Length: 45 Min.
Championship: Playoff for top 3 teams
# of Teams: 8 teams in league

the registration opened for the Spring Sports League.  There is a
short window to sign up so please act quickly and invite your
