I've been checking out the news today, and picked up some bits
and pieces:
The entourage is smaller this time - no wives or girlfriends -
and Franco accompanied Gastón but he's acting as Mancini's
assistant too.
In yesterday's printed edition of La Nación there's a pic of
Coria after having autographed the poster ... over Gastón's
photo!
As well as the fast carpet, the balls are also very fast, so
David suggested they could wet them with sweat! Rumour has it
that they're thinking of drying their hands and foreheads with
them!
I found this funny little item in Olé:

LITTLE DIALOGUES
Some of the Slovak reporters tried to move the Argentine players
away from the routine replies…
We have a tradition here that the player who appears on the
poster ends up not playing, or he plays and loses. In this case
it's Gaudio…
- Gaudio: "Oh, he's killed me! Tell them that that's why
you
didn't include me!"
- Mancini: "Correct, I knew about that and that's why I
didn't include him. No, seriously, if he plays he'll break
the tradition".
Did you get to see some of the Slovak night life?
- Puerta: "No, they haven't taken us anywhere, that's all
wrong. We're very concentrated…"
Coria, I understand that you have played twice against Hrbaty
and you didn't finish either match. Was it because you were
injured or because it was so difficult?
- Coria (laughing): "I was injured".
Gaudio, you who have been more time in this city and who like
the Slovak girls, have you been able to get out?
- Gaudio: "No, I haven't been out at all. Another thing:
What's that about my liking Slovak girls?"
Mancini, who are the best in the team, playing football?
- Gaudio: "Tell him that I'm the best".
- Mancini: "Gastón is very good".
- Nalbandian: "Me too".
- Mancini: "Yes, David too. Franco Davin is very good, and
Claudio Galasso, our PT, is terrific".
