Subject: [garmasters] Fall Rowing Challenge

Concept2 announced their annual Fall Rowing Challenge recently.  This is a great opportunity for us to renew our relationships with our ergs, get in some serious meters and win prizes.  The Challenge runs from September 15 to October 15.  It is a team challenge.  There will be individual incentives and prizes for rowers rowing at least 100k and for those rowing at lest 200k.  Those prizes are to be announced.  Limited edition FRC t-shirts will be available for purchase by all participants.

 

THE TEAM PRIZE

For the team prize we need a minimum of 10 members on our team which each rowing at least 100k.  This would make us eligible for a drawing for our choice of a new Model D or Model E erg which would be a great addition to our boathouse. (BTW, virtual clubs are not eligible and only clubs in the US and Canada are eligible so our chance of winning is better than you might think).

 

Steve Packard has been good enough to take the responsibility of serving as our team captain and fearless leader.  If you’ve seen his erg numbers you know we’re not being asked to do anything he hasn’t already done twice over.  Here’s some info that Steve asked me to pass along:

 

You can join the AR Fall Rowing Challenge (FRC) team with or without a Concept2 on-line logbook. 
 
If you have, or choose to create, an on-line logbook, you will need to e-mail your ranking ID number to GAR FRC2008 Team Captain (stevepackard@hotmail.com).  You can find your ranking ID number by opening your Concept2 logbook and clicking on "profile."  There it is, right below your Date of Birth.
 
If you do not have an on-line logbook, you will need to e-mail the following to the GAR FRC2008 Team Captain (stevepackard@hotmail.com):
------Mandatory------------
First Name,
Last Name, and
Gender.
------Optional------------------
City,
State,
Country,
Weight,
Date of Birth, and
e-mail address.
