Was this the pull at golden, il? i didnt get that chance to go my brother is
back from maine and this will probably be one of the last times ill see him
because he will be in the navy for 6 years. I would say fix the head gasket and
just figure out what gear works best for you and what works best on what kind of
track i pull a stock cub 128 and i pull 2nd basically all the time because its
the best gear i have.

I placed 4th in my class.I was playing with the throttle and also ran with a
blown head gasket.I truly believe i could have won my class if I had been in
lower gear and had the engine running right.It was a charity benefit for kids so
i used this as a testing ground.

How much PSI in your tires and what brand of tire. I myself would pull in a slower gear because sometimes wheelspeed can hurt you depending on the track. ... ...

Don't know what kind of HP rating there is on a gator engine I have a JD110 with a 12 hp and a 4 inch pulley on the motor  I run 2nd gear most all the time...
