Flywheel???   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #18589 of 21547 |
The whole purpose of a flywheel is to give the engine its grunt force
to keep turning right???and to give it some balance right???Could you
say move the flywheel from the traditional side, and put it on the PTO
end and the motor still work???My thought was make a billet flywheel
for a tecumseh, but thats looking to be to costly, so why cant I take
a kohler flywheel, and take like the chain sproket mounts (something
better is needed i no..) and mount to the flywheel, then slit it onto
the PTO shaft...Thus giving the engine exactly what was their, just on
the opposite side...Now in theory that would work, but would it
really??Im thinking of running a tecumseh in a cub (oh i no scarey
thought)...But I want to run it at like 5000 to 6000rpms, and i DONT
trust the cast flywheel...So if I get a billet one I know it would
work for a while...Whats your guys thoughts???
