Greetings to the group: To be honest, I joined this group to sell
some stuff I have been storeing for years. I have a set of four 15
inch rims which fit very early Jeep two wheel drives. They were made
up for driving the cape beaches with large tires, in those days (60's)
two wheel drives were allowed on the beach without problem. We seldom
got stuck because there were no ditches made by 4x4's. We floated on
the flat, soft sand & had a great time. Specs: 10 1/4" wide inside, 11
3/8" overall width. 2 5/8" center hole. bolt patern: 4 @ 4.5"
diameter. Offset is 3 5/8" face to inner rim. These are rust free &
are worth $75.00 for the set, picked up in Canton, CT. Also have two
15" rims for early (60's) VW's. We also ran VW busses on the beach
with great results. low power & weight on the rear wheels made this a
ball. These rims are 8" wide & have the VW 5 bolt pattern. Very light
surfase rust, these were factory made. $25.00 will buy the pair. All
of these rims could be adapted to garden tractor axles by fabricating
an adapter to suit. An easy way to get more rubber on the road..!!
