Hi, Hope to Pull at some of your pulls next year
and have some questions about stock tractor mods.
Have several old stock tractors from wich to build
from. #1; Do we pull with or with out extra weight and
if so how much and restrictions on
placement/mounting. #2; In A-stock can I replace a smaller engine
with any stock flathead 12H. #3. Open rear or can they
be locked. #4 Pull type kill switch mounted near
hitch. #5; Stock hitch or are adjustable hitches
allowed. #6; Can wheely bars be installed. I guess what
I'm asking are we running close to NGTPA stock Rules
or are we keeping it simple so we can have some fun
with basicly stock tractors to see what they will do
and se if we want to take the plunge and build
something serious? We race riders with the United States
Lawn Mower Racing Association in the mid atlantic area
but only have three or four races a year. So since we
have a big trailer and a few tractors that were
unsuitable for racing we would like to try some pulling in
this area. Just joined Pinelands antique engine club
so we can also start showing our tractors since most
meet the antique classification. Hope to see you all
