Re: [garandon] Re: PBP Questions

< One memorable indignity - Claus mades us wear hideous yellow t-shirts in
the airport. It made us all easier to spot, but I felt like a real Bozo. I
sure as heck didn't fly in the thing. "I think Tom really liked his
T-shirt, though, and probably still wears it a lot." >

Dave,

How did you know that's my favorite t-shirt? In fact, I sleep in the thing
every night. Imagine the gold 6-gap t-shirt 2 years ago only much, much
more hideous.

On the subject of reserving hotel rooms, Hans is the person we should be
talking to. In 1999, he got the list of Des Peres hotels from Claus and
called the hotels direct and made his own reservations. There were rooms
available that were not blocked out for Claus. It helped that Hans speaks
pretty fluent French. Hans is planning to do PBP this year and I think he
would be willing to help us out. We should do this soon while rooms are
available. A hotel reservation can usually be cancelled with no penalty
(unlike a plane ticket which must be purchased and there are cancellation or
change penalties).

Who wants to stay with the GA Randon/Audax Atlanta crowd if we book direct
without Des Peres?

Tom Cross
(still undecided about PBP '03)
