Having problems with message search?
Penny selected our rooms the first year and she reported that of the available rooms that she surveyed, one room had a heart-shaped bed while another had a mirror on the ceiling. They were not included in the set of rooms she reserved. As it turned out only three riders opted to spend the night; the majority rode straight thru after taking a break to shower and eat.Turnaround at the same hotel that reportedly had heart shaped waterbeds? Did they really rent by the hour?
When I rode across country in 1978 I considered spending my first night in a motel that advertised hourly rates and "girls in your room". I was outside Richmond VA and it was pouring down rain. The woman at the front desk wouldn't quote me a rate without the girls and I couldn't afford the $20 / hour advertised rate.
