Hi all -

You may (or may not) know that Laura and I are off in Delft (The
Netherlands) for the year. We arrived just yesterday. To keep the
story short, I'm doing some optimization-related research (only
tangentially related to my PhD work) in the Department of Precision and
Microsystems Engineering Department at Delft University of Technology.

We'll still be available via email over the next year, but if you want
to passively keep tabs on what we're up to, I wanted to let you know
we'll be regularly blogging the experience at:

We've already got planned trips to Paris, Dublin (for St. Patrick's
Day!) and Germany among others, so I'm certain we'll have some exciting
